POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's lacrosse team (3-2) went on a 17-0 run over the first two quarters on its way to a 24-10 victory over SUNY Canton (3-5) on a chilly Tuesday night. Sophomore attack
Cobie Cree (Hogansburg, N.Y./Salmon River) recorded a career-high with four goals and an assist for five points. Freshman midfielder
Owen Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) also had five points with a goal and four assists.
The Kangaroos opened the scoring just 13 seconds into the game as freshman attackman Austin Mesler (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) struck. The Bears then rattled off the next 17 straight for a 17-1 lead at 1:46 of the second quarter.
Canton had more luck in the third quarter, outscoring Potsdam 8-3, including three man-up goals. The Bears scored four of the five goals in the fourth quarter.

Ben Fuchs (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) needed just a save and allowed one goal in the first 17:18 to pick up his 11th career victory. Sophomore
Liam O'Neil (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) stopped the only shot he faced in the next 12:42. Junior
Nate Prelewicz (Williamsville, N.Y./Clarence) allowed five goals and made four saves in 4:11. Sophomore
Collin Dougherty (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) made seven saves and allowed four goals in the last 25:49. Sophomore goalie Sam Servati (Rochester, N.Y./Gates Chili) went the distance for Canton, finishing with 19 saves.
Senior defender
Blaze Benedict (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) continued to dominate, causing four turnovers, collecting 10 ground balls and winning seven of his 13 faceoff opportunities. Senior captain
Trent Woodroe (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) had six ground balls and a caused turnover.
Potsdam outshot Canton 72-33.
