ASHLAND, VA.—SUNY Potsdam men's lacrosse players
Alex Farben-Griggs (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) and
Billy Kozloski (Johnson City, N.Y./Johnson City) will represent the Bears at the 2026 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Senior All-Star Game this afternoon in Virginia. Randolph-Macon College will host the Division III contest at 4 p.m. The pair are the 16th and 17th members of Potsdam's program to be chosen for the contest.

Farben-Griggs was named to the All-SUNYAC second team on May 6. He proved himself to be an elite defender again this season. His 31 caused turnovers were second on the team and third most in the conference. The senior was also third on the team and sixth in the SUNYAC in ground balls with 70. Farben-Griggs created an impact offensively as well, scoring eight goals and assisting on four. In four seasons, he compiled 51 caused turnovers, 137 ground balls, 10 goals and six assists while starting 41 of his 53 contests. He ranks fourth in career caused turnovers in program history.
Kozloski was also named to the All-SUNYAC second team. He led Potsdam and was seventh in the SUNYAC in scoring this season with 43 goals and 19 assists for 62 points. The attackman recorded an eight-point contest at Oneonta on March 28 with three goals and five assists. In two seasons with the Bears, Kozloski compiled 89 points on 67 goals and 22 assists, including seven game-winning goals, while starting all 28 games he played. He also collected 57 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers in the two years.
It's the third straight season the Bears have had players in the game.
Owen Walsh played last season and Peyton Walsh in 2024. All-American Josh Huiatt represented the program in 2021. Colby Chapman claimed the honor in 2019 and Eric Soderquist represented the Bears in 2018. Pat Bonafede participated in the 2016 contest. The trio of All-American and Hall of Famer Ryan Duffy, Jeff Love and Rob Kunz played together in 2014. The late Shane Lynch was the first Potsdam player to participate in 1992, followed by Jamie Schmidt in 1997 and Joe Zech in 1999. Bears Hall of Famer Jed Hammill played in 2003. All-American and Hall of Famer Ryan Hanretty was between the pipes in 2005 and Brett Wenzel was selected in 2008.
The USILA Senior All-Star games allow senior student-athletes to finish their collegiate career and carry on a tradition that started in 1940. The games have been played every year except for 1944 and 1945.
The Bears were 10-5 this season, 5-2 in SUNYAC play, reaching the postseason for the third straight year and the 19th time overall. It was also the sixth time in program history that Potsdam reached the 10-win mark.
