BROCKPORT, N.Y.—The College at Brockport (9-3, 4-1 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam men's lacrosse team (4-7, 1-4) 12-6 on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore midfielder
Peyton Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) led the Bears with two goals and an assist.
The Golden Eagles opened the scoring with two goals just 56 seconds apart at 12:13 of the first quarter. Potsdam answered with two in a 1:14 span to tie the score. Walsh set up senior captain

Owen Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) tied the game with assist from sophomore attackman
Cobie Cree (Hogansburg, N.Y./Salmon River) at 9:57. Brockport scored the next five in a row before
Peyton Walsh scored his first at 3:55. The Eagles led 6-3 after one quarter.
The teams combined for just three goals in the second 15 minutes. Junior midfielder
Alex Burley (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) scored for Potsdam at 10:31. Brockport led 8-4 at the half.
After the Eagles netted the only two goals of the third quarter, they and the Bears split the four goals in the fourth. Senior captain
Alec Miller (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) and
Peyton Walsh scored Potsdam's final two goals.

Liam O'Neil (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) continued his strong play in goal, stopping 12 shots for Potsdam. John Felice earned the win with 11 saves for Brockport. Owen VanWie and Rocco Santillo each had two goals and two assists to lead the Eagles.
The Bears are back in action on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. when they host North Country rival Plattsburgh State.
