MIDDLEBURY, VT.—The SUNY Potsdam track and field teams provided more strong individual showings at the Middlebury College Winter Classic on Saturday. The men had seven program top-10 performances and the women had five, including a record.Â
Sophomore
Sam Renaud (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Trinity-Pawling) led the Bears men's team with a fifth place finish in the 800M IN the program's sixth fastest time of 2:03.29. Sophomore
Junior Oduro (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) ran the second fastest time in program history in the 200m in 24.34. He then ran Potsdam's third fastest time in the 60M, 7.43. Junior
Aly Ceesay led the field events with a seventh palace finish in the High Jump clearing 1.70m for the Bears second best jump indoors. Junior
Harper Barrett (Lowville, N.Y./Beaver River) finished 11th in the 500m for the Bears second best time of 1:18.85. Sophomore
Logan Ploss (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) finished in a college best 1 Mile time of 4:54.00 for the program's eighth best time in the race. Ploss then teamed up with Barrett, Renaud, and freshman Eli Siracuse (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield), to race the DMR where the Bears would finish third for the program's second best time of 12:00.46.Â
Freshman
Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) finished the 60M with Potsdam's new school record of 8.47. Sophomore
Hailey von Ahn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) was close behind in the same event with the program's eighth fastest time of 8.73. Wagner and von Ahn also earned top-10 all time marks in the 200 with Wagner finishing in 28.83 for the program's fifth best time while von Ahn finished in 28.97 for the Bear's seventh best time. Sophomore
Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) had the program's second fastest time of 2:32.18 in the 800M to finish 6th overall. Senior
Emily Ware (Massena, N.Y./Massena) finished in the 1000M with Potsdam's sixth fastest time of 3:58.85.Â
