Bears bow to Saints in South Carolina

Box Score BLUFFTON, S.C.—Emmanuel College (1-0) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team (0-2) 24-16 on Tuesday morning. Senior attack Anita Reitano (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) scored six goals to lead the Bears.
 
Senior captain Hannah Stevenson (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) and junior captain Lindsey LaDue (Massena, N.Y./Massena) each scored three goals. Sophomore midfielder Mia Martin (Six Nations, Ontario McKinnon Park Secondary) had two goals and an assist. Sophomore attack Mallory Marks (Brownville, N.Y./General Brown) and junior defender AnnaBelle Mitchell (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) also scored a goal each.
 
Reitano now has 81 goals in her career, moving her into a tie for 10th place with Jen Prevost '05  on the program's all-time goals list. She is still eighth in all-time points with 127, three points shy of Cayla O'Connor '19 for seventh.
 
The Bears are back in action this Saturday at SUNY Poly for a 1 p.m. contest.
