TROY, N.Y. – The Bears track and field team had yet another strong showing at the RPI Under the Lights meet on Friday night. The women set one new program record along with seven top-10 performances while the men's team set four new program records with eight top-10 performances for the day.
Freshman
Rylee Semco (Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley) placed ninth in hammer throw with a distance of 18.81 meters. Semco also threw 7.79 meters which is a new personal-best and is good for 10th best in program history. Sophomore
Hailey von Ahn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) finished with a time of 28.09 in the 200m, which ranks her second on the all-time list. Additionally, von Ahn finished in sixth and seventh place with times of 13.61 and 13.48, respectively in the 100 meters. Sophomore
Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) set a Potsdam record for the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.91, shattering her previous time by five seconds. Yousey then competed in the 400 meters and placed second (1:01.01). To compliment von Ahn, sophomore
Emma Robbins (Newark, N.Y./Newark) finished the 200 meters in sixth place with a time of 29.45.

Zane Moussa threw well for the Bears. Moussa tied his own record in discuss set last season (27.05m), which is good for third best. He also placed fifth in the hammer throw with a time of 37.84m. Senior
Luke Favata (Lake Placid, N.Y./Lake Placid) registered a 27.25m throw in the javelin event to place him 10th. Senior
Aly Ceesay tied his first-place record in the preliminary round of the high jump event registering 1.80-meters. Junior
Timothy Petty (Highland, N.Y./Highland) also tied his seventh-place record, posting a 1.62-meter jump. Sophomore
Logan Ploss (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) ran 11:48.53 in the 3000-meter Steeple Chase for the Bears' fourth best time. Freshman
Calvin Hitzsche (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) yet again set the school record in the 110-meter hurdles finishing in 17.84, beating his previous record by a whole second that he set last week. Sophomore
Ryan Orcutt (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) shattered the program record by three seconds for the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.41, a record previously held by junior
Harper Barrett (Lowville, N.Y./Beaver River). Orcutt then posted a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter running event (11.86). Barrett finished as the sole owner of second place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.22, a new personal-best. Sophomore
Junior Oduro (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) broke two programs for the Bears this evening. Oduro beat his own record set by himself in the 100 meters (11:49) back on March 26th. He then earned another first-place finish in the 200 meters (23.67), conquering his own record by a whole second. In one of the last events of the evening, Hitzsche teamed together with freshman
Eli Siracusa (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield), sophomore
Natalie Hartmann (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East), and senior
Emily Ware (Massena, N.Y./Massena) to compete in a mixed race. Potsdam finished this relay with a time of 4:28.65.
The Bears are back in action next Friday when they travel to SUNY Cortland for a two-day meet with the Red Dragons. Times to be announced.
