POTSDAM, N.Y. – Junior men's basketball player Ethan Baksh (Queens, N.Y./Richmond Hill) and freshman women's basketball player Lucie Scarpine (Angola, N.Y./Lake Shore) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending December 14.

Baksh recorded 14 points on 3-14 shooting and 8-9 from the free-throw line against Keystone on Saturday. He also had three rebounds, three steals, and an assist.

Scarpine averaged 10.0 points per game and shot 38.5-percent from 3-point range in the Nazareth Holiday Tournament. The guard had eight points in game one against Piedmont on Saturday, shooting 2-6 (.333) from the floor and 2-4 (.500) from the 3-point line. She also grabbed two rebounds and had one assist in the contest. Scarpine added another 12 points on 4-15 (.267) shooting, 3-9 (.333) from behind the arc, as well as four rebounds and a steal against Westminster on Sunday.
