BROCKPORT, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam track and field teams recorded multiple strong performances on Day 1 of the SUNYAC Indoor Championships. The Bears had seven program top-10 finishes and Potsdam men's distance medley relay team also set the program record in the event.
 
Junior Emma Robbins (Newark, N.Y./Newark) finished fifth in the triple jump with the program's second distance of 10.55m. Robbins was also 15th in the 200M with Potsdam's second fastest time of 27.54. Senior Raven Winters (Harrisville, N.Y./Harrisville) was 17th in the 60M hurdles with the program's second-best time of 10.85. Senior Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) finished fourth in the 400M to qualify for Saturday's finals with Potsdam's second fastest time of 1:00.49. Junior Madison Wagner (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) was 15th in the 60M with the program's fourth-best time of 8.31. Sophomore Adrianna Orlando (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker), Winters, senior Natalie Hartmann (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East) and freshman Makayla Farmer (Massena, N.Y./Massena) placed 10th in the Distance Medley with Potsdam's third fastest time of 15:06.89.
 
Senior Zane Moussa (Keeseville, N.Y./AuSable Valley) was 15th in the weight throw with a distance of 13.21m. Senior Junior Oduro (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown), sophomore Samuel Barney (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh), senior Logan Ploss (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) and junior Eli Siracusa (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) were ninth in the Distance Medley with Potsdam's record time 11:39.56.
 
The Bears are back in action tomorrow for the final day of the championships.
