Alexys Rosick (Hudson Falls, N.Y. / Hudson Falls) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 26.
O'Neil was instrumental in the men's lacrosse team clinching playoffs, starting and earning both wins in a 2-0 SUNYAC week. The Bears captain stopped a season-high 17 shots in Wednesday's 8-5 win over Plattsburgh. He made an additional 12 saves in the 18-7 mauling of New Paltz Saturday to bring the Bears into the postseason. The goalie finished the week with 29 total saves, a .744 save percentage, and a 5.24 goals-against-average.
In a 6-0 week for the Bears, including 4-0 in SUNYAC play, Rosick hit .522 going 12 for 23, and slugged .696, recording 10 RBI, 10 runs scored, and five stolen bases. The shortstop had a standout game in the second of Saturday's doubleheader against Canton, recording season highs in hits (4), runs scored (3), RBI (3), and bases stolen (2).
