POTSDAM, N.Y.- Seniors Liam O'Neil (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and
Owen Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) have earned SUNYAC Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week for their stellar performances this past week.
O'Neil recorded wins over Plattsburgh State and SUNY New Paltz, helping the Bears clinch their second straight playoff berth. He posted a .744 save percentage with 29 saves. He had a goal-against-average of 5.34. O'Neil has 14 career victories, placing him ninth on the program's all-time wins list.
Walsh totaled nine points in two games. The senior had one goal against Plattsburgh and matched a season-high with six goals and two assists in the regular season finale with New Paltz. Walsh has 176 career points (112 goals, 64 assists) in his time at Potsdam. The midfielder ranks sixth on Potsdam's career scoring list, fifth in goals and seventh in assists.
The fourth-seeded Bears will face off against No. 15 and top-seeded SUNY Cortland this Wednesday at 3 p.m. for the SUNYAC Semifinal.
