Pat Bonafede participated in the 2016 contest. The trio of All-American and Hall of Famer Ryan Duffy, Jeff Love and Rob Kunz played together in 2014. The late Shane Lynch was the first Potsdam player to participate in 1992, followed by Jamie Schmidt in 1997 and Joe Zech in 1999. Bears Hall of Famer Jed Hammill played in 2003. All-American and Hall of Famer Ryan Hanretty was between the pipes in 2005 and Brett Wenzel was selected in 2008.
The USILA Senior All-Star games allow senior student-athletes to finish their collegiate career and carry on a tradition that started in 1940. The games have been played every year with the exception of 1944 and 1945. The Division III and Division I/II contests will bring together the finest senior men's lacrosse players in the country.
The Bears were 8-7 in 2025 with a 4-3 mark in SUNYAC play. They reached the postseason for the second straight year before bowing at top-seeded SUNY Cortland in semifinals.
