SYRACUSE, N.Y.—SUNY Potsdam women's basketball head coach
Brittany Cohen has been named to the Onondaga Community College Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Cohen helped the Lazers reach the 2010 NJCAA National Championship, where they finished as runners up with a 35-1 record. The guard earned third team All-American, first team all-region and first team all-conference honors. She was also the Mid-State Athletic Conference Tournament MVP. Cohen led the MSAC in 3-point shooting (43.6) and assists-per-game (6.0) as well as ranked in the top five in scoring (15.8 ppg.), shooting percentage (45.0) and free-throw percentage (75.0).
Cohen then played two seasons at SUNY Cortland, earning SUNYAC Player of the Year and WBCA Honorable Mention All-American status in both seasons.
Cohen's coaching career began as an assistant with Le Moyne College in 2012. The following season she helped guide her alma mater Jamesville-DeWitt High School to the New York State Finals. Cohen served as the top assistant for the Nazareth College women's basketball team during the 2014-15 campaign, helping the Golden Flyers reach the Empire 8 Playoffs for the first time in 14 seasons. She spent the 2015-16 season in Texas working as the player development intern for Dallas Mavericks.
Cohen was tapped to lead Potsdam prior to the 2016-17 season. She has guided the Bears to the postseason and mentored seven All-SUNYAC selections.
Cohen will be enshrined with the four other members of the Class of 2026 on Monday, April 27 at OCC's SRC Arena.
