POTSDAM, N.Y. – Graduate men's volleyball player Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) and freshman track & field athlete Carli Knapp (Lovington, N.M./Lovington) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 4.

Kilinski recorded 33 kills, 10 digs, two blocks, and a service ace in two matches for the Bears on Saturday. In game one against VTSU-Johnson, he had 18 kills, five digs, and a block as Potsdam claimed the 3-1 victory, securing their spot in conference playoffs. Against St. John Fisher, the middle hitter added 15 kills, five digs, an ace, and a block.

Knapp took first place in the javelin throw at the SLU Spring Break Opener on Saturday, with a distance of 35.64m, breaking the previous Potsdam record by 11.50m and qualifying her for the All-Atlantic Region Championships.
