Marie Amell is back for her third season with the Bears.
 
Personal: Daughter of Dave Amell and Kathy Ptolemy . . . majoring in Studio Art . . . favorite film is The Dark Crystal . . . favorite musician is Enya . . . favorite TV show is The Mary Tyler Moore Show . . . in high school she ran cross-country for four years, was a member of her school's Honor Society, received a 2014 RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award), received the Mary Catherine Gibbs Hobbs Memorial Scholarship 2015, and qualified as a 2012-2014 New York State Cross-Country Championships Runner . . .  her favorite part about being an NCAA student-athlete is running early in the morning during the autumn season as it is a pleasant way to start her day.  Her athletic and academic awards include SUNYAC Fall All-Academic Team Fall 2015, receiving SUNY Potsdam Women's CC Award "Most Valuable Player" 2019, placed on SUNY Potsdam's President's List for Fall 2016, Fall 2018, Spring 2019, Fall 2019, & Spring 2020, accepted into SUNY Potsdam's Advanced Honors Program, and being accepted into the Presidential Scholars Program
