ASTON, Pa.—The SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (8-7-3, 5-7-3 ECAC West) erased a 2-1 third period deficit with three unanswered goals for a 4-2 conference road victory at Neumann College on Saturday evening. Senior captain
Annmarie Lewis scored the game-winner and tacked on an empty-netter in the win.
Potsdam started slow and found itself in a 1-0 hole despite outshooting the Knights 8-7 in the opening period. Jennie Greenlee scored at the 10:07 mark to put Neumann on the board. The Bears were unable to score on their two power plays in the period.
Potsdam started to pick up momentum in the second 20 minutes. At the 3:12 mark, senior forward

Katie Komsa to even the score at 1-1. Nine minutes later, Edie Brenning put Neumann back out in front with an even strength marker.
The Bears broke out in the final period, outshooting the Knights 16-8. Senior defenseman

Brittany Westlake at 16:03. Just 33 seconds later, Lewis struck for the eventual game-winner on assists from freshman forward

Jenn Crawford. Neumann pulled goalie Shannon Donnelly with 14 seconds left and Lewis closed the scoring with the net open with just one second left on the clock.

Jen Conophy made 20 saves for the win, while Donnelly finished with 27 saves. Potsdam was 0-3 on the power play and the Knights went 0-4.
The Bears are now 6-1-2 in their last nine games and sit in sole possession of fifth place in the ECAC West.
Potsdam faces Neumann again tomorrow at 2 p.m.
