POTSDAM, N.Y.—Six SUNY Potsdam student-athletes earned spots on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team. The team is selected by CSC member directors of athletic communications to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the game and in the classroom. The at-large category includes multiple sports. Women's hockey players
Jessika Bullock (Norfolk, N.Y./Adirondack 46ers),
Jalynn Castro (Dexter, N.Y./Syracuse Valley Eagles) and
Magalie Parent (Trois-Rivières, Quebec/Les Diablos – Cégep de Trois-Rivières) and women's lacrosse players
Kiah Delles (Philadelphia, N.Y./Indian River),
Rachel Madore (Peru, N.Y./Peru) and
Auna Shadle (Massena, N.Y./Massena) each claimed a spot on the list.
To be eligible for nomination, athletes need to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, be a sophomore and have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or started in 66 percent.
Bullock, a senior defenseman and exercise science major, played in all 26 contests for the women's hockey team this season. She was third in scoring with a goal and eight assists for nine points. Her goal came in overtime in a 2-1 win at Williams Smith College on February 6. In her three seasons, Bullock scored three goals and assisted on 14 in 72 contests.
Castro has earned academic all-district honors for the second straight season. The junior forward and dual business administration and finance major broke out with a career-high 18 points on 11 goals and seven assists to lead the team. She had four game-winning goals. Castro has scored 22 goals and assisted on 11 for 33 points in 73 career contests.
Parent, a senior business administration major, has had an all-around outstanding finish to her Bears career. In February she was named the SUNYAC Goalie of the Year and first team all-conference. Last month, she was named SUNY Potsdam's Female Athlete of the Year. Parent had a 10-9-2 record in 23 games, with 22 starts, tying Potsdam's single-season wins record. The captain had a career-best 2.06 goals-against-average, a .935 save percentage, and recorded four shutouts, a program single-season record. Parent was named the SUNYAC Goaltender of the Week three times in the 2025-26 campaign, finishing sixth in G.A.A, fourth in save percentage, third in wins and first in saves (659) in the conference. Parent completed her career with 17 wins, the third most wins in program history. She is also second in saves (1598) and G.A.A. (2.13). She holds Potsdam's records in save percentage (.935) and shutouts (7).
Delles, a junior art education major and midfielder, started all 14 contests she played this season. She recorded 13 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, eight draw controls and a goal. In her three seasons, Delles has 34 starts in 43 games with 46 ground balls, 31 caused turnovers, eight draw controls and three goals.
Madore, a junior defender and dual criminal justice and Psychology major, was also academic all-district as a member of the Bears women's volleyball team. This season she led the lacrosse team with 18 caused turnovers, while starting all 15 contests. She also had 22 ground balls. In two seasons, she's compiled 23 caused turnovers and 30 ground balls while starting in 27 of her 29 games.
Shadle, a senior midfielder and exercise science major, broke out offensively this spring with 10 goals and 12 assists for 23 points. She was the team's third leading scorer. Shadle also had a team-high 51 draw controls to go with 12 caused turnovers and 27 ground balls.
