POTSDAM, N.Y.—Six SUNY Potsdam women's soccer players have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. The teams are selected by CSC member directors of athletic communications to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible for the honor, athletes need be at least a sophomore, maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, compete in 90 percent of their teams' contests or start in 66 percent.
Junior goalie
Megan Fry (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) started all 17 games for the Bears this season, posting an 8-7-2 record. She ranked second in the SUNYAC in saves (112), third in save percentage (.875) and fifth in goals-against-average (0.99). Fry's eight wins are the third most by a Potsdam goalkeeper in a single season. She also ranks second in shutouts (6/2), fourth in G.A.A. and sixth in save percentage during a single season in program history. She was named second team All-SUNYAC this Fall.
Senior captain
Emily Jordan (Lisbon, N.Y./Lisbon) has earned academic all-district status for the third straight season. She played in every game with 16 starts and scored two goals. In her four seasons, Jordan played in 64 games, starting 28, and recorded three goals and four assists for 10 points.
Senior midfielder
Ella Hutchins (Oriskany Falls, N.Y./Waterville) is now a two-time academic all-district honoree. She started every game this season. Hutchins played in 47 games with 37 starts in her four years.
Senior forward
Meg Napoleon (Lyons, N.Y./Newark) was also academic all-district in 2023. She was the Bears' third leading scorer this season with four goals and an assist for nine points. She played in every game with 16 starts. Over her four-year career, Napoleon played in 63 games with 45 starts. She scored 10 goals and added three assists for 23 points.
Junior forward
Adrianna Orlando (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) is also academic all-district for the second season in a row. She was Potsdam's fourth leading scorer with nine points on two goals and five assists while playing every game with 15 starts. She's played in 49 games with 35 starts in three years, totaling four goals and nine assists for 17 points.
Senior captain
Emma Wilson (Nesconset, N.Y./Sachem North) is a three-time member of the academic all-district team. Wilson started all 17 games and was Potsdam's second leading scorer with 10 points on three goals and four assists.
At 8-7-2 in 2025, the Bears registered their first winning season since 2018.
