POTSDAM, N.Y. – Graduate men's volleyball player Matt Kilinski (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) and senior women's hockey goaltender Magalie Parent (Trois-Rivières, Quebec/Les Diablos – Cégep de Trois-Rivières) have been named SUNY Potsdam Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 24.

Kilinski recorded 45 kills, 17 digs, and two blocks in two games for the Bears on Saturday. In Potsdam's season opener against Regis College, he had 24 kills, hitting .514, to go with 10 digs and two blocks in the 3-1 win. In the second game of the day against No. 16 Buffalo State, the middle hitter added 21 kills and seven digs.

Parent picked up both wins in the Bears' SUNYAC weekend sweep, stopping 76 shots and earning a .950 save percentage. In Friday's 4-3 victory over Oswego, she had a season-high 40 saves. The goalie added 36 saves against Canton in a 2-1 win.
