POTSDAM, N.Y. – Senior women's hockey goaltender
Magalie Parent (Trois-Rivières, Quebec/Les Diablos – Cégep de Trois-Rivières) has been named the SUNYAC Goaltender of the Week for the week ending January 24, earning the honor for the second time this season.
Parent picked up both wins in the Bears' SUNYAC weekend sweep, stopping 76 shots and earning a .950 save percentage. In Friday's 4-3 victory over Oswego, she had a season-high 40 saves. The goalie added 36 saves against Canton in a 2-1 win. She boasts a career-high seven wins on the season, as well as a 1.59 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage. Parent is first in the conference in save and win percentage (.615), second in GAA, and third in saves made (366).
Potsdam women's hockey is back in action tomorrow night as they travel to Middlebury, Vt. to face off against the Middlebury College Panthers at 7 p.m.
