POTSDAM, N.Y.—St. Lawrence University defeated the SUNY Potsdam swimming and diving teams in a dual meet on Friday evening. The Saints defeated the men 107-38 and the women 129-47. Sophomore captain
Katherine Steeves (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) swam to two individual victories for the second straight meet.

Steeves won the 200 Individual Medley in 2:21.28 and the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:04.04. The Bears women's 200 Medley Relay of senior captain
Kathryn Nelson (Riverside, R.I./St. Mary Academy – Bay View), Steeves, junior
Leo Plaza (Hudson, N.Y./Taconic Hills) and junior
Madison Mitchell (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) finished second with a time of 2:05.79. Plaza also posted a third place finish in the 200 Freestyle in 2:18.04. Freshman
Delaynie Jessie (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) was third in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 28.11.

Jackson Korn (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) had two second place finishes. He finished the 200 Freestyle in 2:04.24 and the 100 Freestyle in 56.57. Senior captain
Zach DeLorme (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit) was second in the 100 Butterfly in 58.35. Freshman
Demetrio Schiavone (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland) was also second in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:50.33. Junior
Tyler Schmitt (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) rounded out the leaders, placing second in the 100 Backstroke.

Prior to the start of the Bears' home finale, Potsdam honored seniors Nelson,
Finn Boyle (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook), DeLorme and
Tyler Tice (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) for their careers.
