Arnold M. Dunn is the personification of versatility. In his profession, in his hobbies and in his sports career, Dunn excels.

Dunn played four years of varsity baseball, two years of junior varsity basketball and one year of varsity basketball. Baseball remained his strongest sport. During his career at Potsdam, Dunn pitched 33 consecutive scoreless innings and recorded 17 consecutive strikeouts. His college record is an outstanding 20-5. After graduation, Arnold played professionally in Canada until injury forced his retirement.

Earning an M.A. degree from Harvard University as well as M.A. and Ph. D. degrees from Clarkson, Dunn is a respected mathematics scholar. He has been a member of the Potsdam College faculty since 1962 and has authored a major mathematics publication.

Activity is Arnold’s byword. He has coached basketball and has officiated at basketball and baseball games for many years.

Potsdam College is pleased to induct Arnold M. Dunn into its Sports Hall of Fame.
