Hall of Fame
A 1978 graduate of SUNY Potsdam, Peter Eberhardt was a team captain and a two-time All-American swimmer for the Bears. Eberhardt led the swim team to its first SUNYAC Championship in 1977, as well as its second conference title the following year. Eberhardt’s relay team went on to finish 15th nationally in NCAA Division III competition.
A physics major at Potsdam, Eberhardt also pursued a 3-2 program with Clarkson University. He finished his college studies with a bachelor’s from Potsdam and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Clarkson. Following graduation, he returned to his native Rochester where he and his father started their own tool and die business, which they have operated for the past 29 years. Eberhardt is married to the former Suzanne Adams (’78), and they have three children.
