Harry Faduski, a 1961 SUNY Potsdam graduate, played soccer, basketball and baseball during his four-year tenure at the College. He was a two-year captain and original member of the school's inaugural men's soccer team in 1958. Faduski also lettered in each of his four years as a member of the basketball and baseball teams. He was named Potsdam's top scholar-athlete and garnered a professional baseball contract following his senior season.
Faduski went on to a prosperous career in education, earning a National Mott Fellowship in 1972 and receiving his Ph.D from Wayne State (Mich.) University in 1974. A principal for 27 years in Liverpool, N.Y., Faduski was named the National Distinguished Principal of New York State in 1990, earning a visit to Washington, D.C., and a meeting with President George Bush.
