Bio from Induction

Joe graduated from Potsdam State University in June of 1969, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He pursued a teaching career at Brasher Falls and Ogdensburg, New York while also coaching basketball. At Ogdensburg his team compiled a 38-2 record and won 5 of 6 Championships. For the next two years, he worked as a Residence Hall Director at Potsdam State University and received a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1971.

In July of 1975, Joe started his own successful construction business with a partner. The firm built over 30 homes in St. Lawrence County in 5 years of business. Joe moved to Austin, Texas in March of 1980, concentrating in Real Estate sales, leasing, and property management.

Joe is also one of the founders of a non-profit organization called People Feeding People with a mission to end Famine in Africa. Joe’s wife Alice, is the manager of three Medical Centers in Austin.
