Richard finished his Potsdam Wrestling Career with and overall record of 94-17-0. Most of his losses came to Division I athletes at open tournaments, post season tournaments, or NCAA Division I Tournament. His tournament record reads as follows: NUYAC Tournament Champion (three times) 1972, ’73, ’74; CW Post runner up 1972; NY State Tournament runner up1973; CW Post Tournament champion 1974; NY State Tournament champ 1974, ’75; Ashland Tournament champ 1974; NCAA Division III champion 1974.
After completing his wrestling career at Potsdam, Rich married the former Karen Stone of Massena. They have three children. Rich has worked for Kaman Aerospace in northern Connecticut, where he is a calibrations lab technician.
