Hall of Fame
Michael Schmid played a large part in helping put Potsdam College wrestling on the map. He was a four-year member of the team from 1970-1974. He wrestled for Dr. Neil Johnson and placed in the SUNYAC Tournament and the NCAA Division III Tournament his senior year.
Schmid earned a mathematics degree at Potsdam in 1974 and is near completion of a degree in secondary administration. He has been a Math Lab Specialist in the Syracuse City School District since graduating from Potsdam as well as a successful wrestling coach at the Corcoran High School. He is assistant director of the St. Lawrence University Summer Wrestling School.
Potsdam College welcomes Michael Schmid for induction into its Sports Hall of Fame.
