Robert Wolff began his college wrestling career at Potsdam College in grand fashion by placing second at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament his freshman year. That honor marked the beginning of what would be an outstanding four-year record of 81-35-1.

Wolff returned to campus for the 1976-77 season and promptly took first place at the New York State Championships. His sophomore year also yielded an All State Wrestling honor. His junior year was highlighted by a New York State All Star match selection. Wolff’s senior year campaign was nothing short of spectacular as he compiled a 16-0 dual meet record as co-captain of the Bears squad. He place second in the New York State Championships, first at the SUNYAC Tournament, and was once again selected to a New York State All Star match. Wolff was also named the team’s best all-around wrestler by a statistical point system, an honor he also earned his sophomore year.

Wolff traveled the country after graduating from Potsdam, and finally settled in Jackson Hole, Wyo. He began work at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar and was rapidly promoted to manager where he coordinated several fundraisers and benefits for local charities. Wolff is currently general manager of Rancher Spirit and Billiards in Jackson Hole, and plans to remain in that scenic area of the country.
