Hall of Fame
Stephen Auburn was a swimmer of exceptional caliber. At Potsdam, Auburn was a three-time All-American, earning the honor from 1975-1977. He still holds school and state standards in the 1,000- and the 1,650-meter freestyle events.
Auburn also won the SUNYAC’s Sam Molnar Scholar Athlete award in 1977. He earned the Fulton Award as the most outstanding swimmer in the SUNYAC for the 1976-77 season.
A 1977 graduate of Potsdam College, Auburn then earned a degree from the Syracuse University Law School and practiced law for a time in Albuquerque, N.M. He is currently an attorney with the First Federal Trust Co. in Rochester. Auburn is the father of two sons and currently resides in Honeyoye Falls, N.Y.
It is with great pleasure that Potsdam College inducts Stephen Auburn into its Sports Hall of Fame.
